LogYourWork ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
1. Information we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive:
Name — your display name from your Google account
Email address — used for account identification and optional email notifications
Profile picture — displayed within the app for your convenience
We also store the content you create within LogYourWork, including work log entries, project names, and time tracking data.
2. How we use your data
To provide and maintain the LogYourWork service
To authenticate your identity via Google sign-in
To send optional email notifications about your work logging activity (you can unsubscribe at any time)
To analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve the service (via our own first-party analytics — no third-party trackers, no cookies)
3. Data storage and security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
Your work logs are private and only accessible to you and to any AI assistant you explicitly connect via the MCP connector (see section 5). No other LogYourWork users can view your entries.
4. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services:
Google OAuth — for secure authentication (no passwords stored)
Resend — for transactional email delivery
Sentry — error monitoring that helps us detect and fix technical problems. Error reports are hosted in the European Union. We configure Sentry not to collect IP addresses, and personal data and your work-log content are scrubbed from error reports before they are sent. Reports are retained for 30 days, and Sentry processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
Granola — optional, user-initiated integration that imports your meeting notes and transcripts from Granola into your LogYourWork work logs when you connect it; revocable at any time from Settings
AI assistants (MCP connector) — optional, user-initiated integration; when you connect an AI assistant through our MCP connector, the work log data you ask it to access is transmitted to whichever AI provider you have connected (see section 5)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.
5. AI assistant connections (MCP)
LogYourWork offers an optional MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector that lets you connect AI assistants to your account. This feature is off by default and must be enabled for your account before it can be used.
When you connect an AI assistant via the MCP connector and ask it to access your data, the assistant can read and modify your work logs, project names, profile (name, email, timezone), and analytics on your behalf. The specific data you request is transmitted to whichever AI provider you have connected and is handled under that provider's own privacy policy.
Access is opt-in per user and granted through an OAuth consent screen that you control.
You can revoke a connected assistant's access at any time, after which it can no longer reach your data.
LogYourWork does not transmit your data to any AI provider unless you have explicitly connected one.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
7. Data retention and deletion
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at [email protected]. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Unsubscribe from email notifications at any time
9. Children's privacy
LogYourWork is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of LogYourWork after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
11. Contact
If you have questions about this privacy policy or your data, contact us at [email protected].
